PATANJALI YOGPEETH INDIA.
Patanjali Yogpeeth Nepal is a charitable trust under PATANJALI YOGPEETH INDIA run by the very renowned Rishi Swami Ramdev and Siromani Shree Balkrishna Acharya Maharaj. Under this trust we have a Medical College named PATANJALI AYURVEDA MEDICAL COLLEGE AND RESEARCH CENTER situated in Dhulikhel-7, Kavre. This was established in 2073 B.S. Under it we also have a Teaching Hospital running in Dhulikhel-3 Kavre.
It has been running running Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) which is five and half years Medical degree course (which includes one year of internship). The total seats available 40 (including 8 scholarship seats for the students coming from Ministry of Education). It is affiliated to NEPAL SANSKRIT UNIVERSITY , DANG.
The main objective of this trust is to promote and develop yoga and healthy lifestyle in Nepal. It has been running free yoga class & camps with feasible training in all 77 districts. It has also helped establish herbal garden and produce qualified Ayurveda manpower in the country. Along with this, it has also helped the poor community in Nepal during natural calamities.

WHAT IS A BAMS COURSE?
BAMS refers to BACHELORS OF AYURVEDIC MEDICINE AND SURGERY. It is a 5 and a half year course which includes 1 year of internship. One has to pass all 3 professionals ( i.e. 1 and 1/2 years each professional) to go through internship. There are limited number of colleges that runs BAMS program. TRIBHUVAN UNIVERSITY AND NEPAL SANSKRIT UNIVERSITY are the two universities that affiliates and runs this program.
NEPAL SANSKRIT UNIVERSITY has affiliated PATANJALI AYURVEDA MEDICAL COLLEGE AND RESEARCH CENTER. They themselves run this program too. The college is situated in Dang and our college is in Kavre.
